Korea's OCOSMOS announced on Monday it will bring its portable gaming and work tablet, based on the OC1, to CES' Showstoppers event. This time around, the device will have a dual-core Intel Atom processor. OCOSMOS says the device will have the ability to play mobile, PC and online games thanks to its relatively high-end graphics and yet can still run Office apps on Windows 7.
When the device was first introduced at the end of November, it was said to have an Intel Oak Trail platform rated at either 1.5- or 1.9GHz, along with a 400MHz graphics processor that can decode 720p HD video. It had a 5-inch display with a sliding screen that reveals the hardware controls. Battery life is rated at between five and ten hours, depending on whether it uses a 24 watt-hour or 10-15 watt-hour battery.
The tablet will otherwise include USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth 2.1. OCOSMOS said it would support VoIP calls and DLNA media sharing.
Pricing and release dates are expected to be unveiled at CES.
