Samsung announces sales of Galaxy S phones hits 10 million

Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung has announced that sales of its Galaxy S line of mobile phones have reached the 10 million sold milestone. It was only in October last year that it announced sales had reached the 5 million mark after five months on sale. It has taken only another two months for Samsung to double its sales figures indicating that demand for the line has increased as new models have been added and sales have expanded to additional markets.

In its seven months on sale the Galaxy S line has been selling 1.4 million units a month, or 40,000 a day. During this time, Samsung has sold 4 million in the U.S., and 2.5 million in Europe.

The Samsung Android smartphones currently run a 1GHz Samsung manufactured ARM-based processor and also feature a Samsung manufactured 4-inch Super AMOLED display
